ATTITUDE

Being Positive and Keeping Perspective
Leadership Banners: This assignment could be used by a leadership class to help motivate both themselves and the other students in the school. It is also a great way to get some new decorations in your leadership classroom or school. [from the Canadian Association of Student Activity Advisors Website]

Accountability
Self-Assessment / Team Member Evaluation: We use this rubric and have students rate their progress (and their team member's progress) throughout the year.

Self-Awareness
CD Cover: An activity where students design their own CD covers based on their own personalities. Can be used at the beginning of the year as an opportunity for students to explore their own personalities. [from the Alberta Association of Students' Councils and Advisors Website]

Leader Letter: This assignment asks students to choose a living person that demonstrates a leadership characteristic. The student will then write that person a letter asking for a response. This activity could be used to help students explore various characteristics of leadership - possibly related to their own strengths and weaknesses.
